A trip of 3 days – 2 nights
1 DAY – Welcome to the Italian Riviera
Today is your arrival day. Benvenuto! Check-in at your boutique accommodation in Santa Margherita Ligure or Sestri Levante villages. Relax after a long trip and start feeling the Italian atmosphere!
2 DAY – Portofino, San Fruttuoso bay and Camogli
After Breakfast, you’ll meet your private tour guide to start your tour of the picturesque villages in the heart of Portofino Natural Park. You’ll live “la dolce vita” reaching the small fishing village of Portofino which is now the center of élite tourism and visit its castle and Harbour.
You’ll take the ferry to reach San Fruttuoso bay* : a tiny untouched village that we consider a pearl of rare beauty. A Medieval Abbey in S. Fruttuoso village will enchant you. This abbey is also listed in the “FAI: FondoAmbienteItaliano”, an Italian National Trust. The day continues to Camogli, which unique and infinite line of colorful houses built along the bay will immediately fascinate you.
3 DAY – Genoa Old Shops and Tastings. Arrivederci day!
After breakfast, you’ll meet your private local tour guide for an amazing walking tour of the historical center of Genoa discovering the most famous monuments of the town and its ancient food shops!
Wandering through the alleys of the largest medieval old town in Europe, you’ll find the “real” Genoa essence. You will admire the painted facades of the noble Rolli Palaces built by local aristocracy in the XV century and now protected by UNESCO.
During your tour you’ll discover the ultra-centenarian food shops of the historical center: the old “friggitorie” serving friscieu (fried croquettes filled with herbs), farinata, fried fresh seafood eaten at the counter or to take away, the prestigious old pastry cafè where the famous composer Giuseppe Verdi loved to spend his time tasting the pastries and then, the “Pietro Romanengofu Stefano” old shop.
Free lunch, check-out and departure. We will look forward to meeting you again and hope that you enjoyed this special little taste of the Italian Riviera.
*Tour not available on Sundays and Monday morning
