What You Can Expect

Day 1 – Arrival to the Unesco hills in Piedmont, Langhe

Transfer from Milano centre and arrival to Langhe hills – Unesco World Heritage site.
Check-in in a charming accommodation, possibility of a stroll in the town.

Dinner in a characteristic restaurant to taste a local menu and overnight stay.

Day 2 – First hiking day in the Barolo wine area

After breakfast, meeting with your English-speaking guide and departure for the first hiking tour in Barolo Wine area, among gentle hills, green vineyards, tower and castles, and breath-taking views: ca. 20 kms – 5 hours walk.

Possibility to stop for lunch in a restaurant (not included).

Stop along the way to visit a well-known Barolo wine cellar with tasting.
Back to your accommodation and relax.

Dinner free in town, overnight stay.

Day 3 – Second Trekking day in the Barolo wine area

After breakfast, meeting with your English speaking local guide and departure to continue the exploration of the amazing Barolo wine area, passing by two of the most beautiful Belvedere view points over castles, towns and towers: ca. 15 kms – 4 hours walk.

Possibility to stop for lunch in a restaurant (not included).

Stop along the way to visit Grinzane Cavour Castle, Unesco World heritage site.
Back to your accommodation and relax.

Day 4 – Transfer to Cinque Terre, Liguria

After breakfast and checkout, transfer with a private driver to Liguria (about 2 hours).
Check-in at your selected charming accommodation in Cinque Terre
. Relax and feel the Cinque Terre atmosphere.

In the evening, dinner in a characteristic Cinque Terre restaurant and overnight stay.

Day 5 – Hiking Day in the Famous Cinque Terre

After breakfast, meeting with your local private tour guide for a hiking day.
Hiking is one of the best way to enjoy the Cinque Terre and its landscape
. It is one of the greatest hiking path of Italy! Breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and incredible untouched nature surrounds you during your hike from one village to another. The passionate insiders, native of Cinque Terre and the surrounding towns, will take you to off-the-beaten-path gems to make your experience richer!

Day 6 – Hiking and Tasting Aperitif in Portofino

After breakfast, morning at leisure to relax in the beautiful atmosphere of the Italian Riviera!

In the afternoon, meeting with your local private tour guide for a great hiking experience in the Natural Park of Portofino, which offers endlessly changing scenery and some of Europe’s finest coastal walking! From the heights of Portofino Peninsula you’ll admire extensive panoramas with mountains plunging into the Mediterranean sea, fishing villages overlooking little bays with crystalline water.

After your short hiking, your tour guide will leave you and you’ll reach by a 10 minute uphill walk a private terraced garden and enjoy an aperitif with typical ligurian tastings.

Day 7 – Portovenere and Hiking Palmaria Island

After breakfast, meeting with your local private tour guide at La Spezia train station.
Public boat (weather permitting, otherwise you will take a bus) transfer to the ancient town of Portovenere and then ferry for the Palmaria Island in the Gulf of Poets, just in front of the village. Half-hiking day on the island, to see its beautiful beaches, interesting and spectacular sights, such as the Grotta Azzurra (the Blue Cave) and admire different landscapes.
The Gulf of Poets invites you quietly and it is not surprising that poets loved it and writers like Shelley, Byron, Petrarch and Montale. This part of the Italian Riviera has always been a prestigious destination. It will fascinate you with its colors, atmosphere, climate, art, history traditions and cuisine.

Back to Portovenere, a hidden treasure with its breathtaking landscapes naturally architected by Mother Nature and humankind together over time. In fact, it is a town rich in history as Doria Castle, St. Peter Church and St. Lawrence Church.
