My name is Francesca, I was born in Genova. I have a degree in geology and I’m a certified Hiking and City Guide. My big passion is to join together nature, tradition and food: the steep cliffs and the medieval hamlets of the Cinque Terre Park, the wild slopes and the fishing villages of the Park of Portofino, the high painted palaces of Genova, create my perfect mix!! I am enthusiastic to meet new people and to involve them in the knowledge of these landscapes: I am a keen expert of the local rocks, plants, fish and a very good cook of the local pesto and focaccia!!!
the nature since I was a little kid, my favorite animals are snails and wolves; I love cooking mainly vegetarian dishes and fish; I like walking and staying in the open air, I like all is authentic!!
a winter walk in a chilly day through the wood of beech trees with a stop for a picnic in a sunny meadow…
the Genoa ancient Wall: from the top of the city wall, built on top of the “spur” mountain and reachable by an old funicular, I can see all my town, the shining sea and the profiles of the green hills and of the Portofino Promontory…
a very simple one, pasta with olive oil and tomato sauce… but handmade, like my grandfather used to make!!
Liguria. I am sure you will love the sea moisture in the wind, the laundry drying out of the windows, the colors of the high building at the sunset and the taste of our fresh anchovies and soft focaccia!

I was born in Savona in 1978 and I love nature and outdoor activities since I was a child. I became a geologist... practically by vocation! In the last few years I have been working with satisfaction and accomplishment as hiking guide with the ambitious intention of stimulating everyone’s sensibility through my enthusiasm and my passion for nature and specially for my beautiful region.
to stay in the open air, small isles, reading, to stay with my wife and son, eating, motorbikes, my vegetable patch.
to swim in rough sea, to laugh one’s head off with my friends, to walk alone in woods.
the Lerca torrent, with its waterfalls and pools of clear water a stone’s throw from the sea, enclosed by the wild and rocky Beigua Geopark’s peaks.
pesto tagliarini (not “polluted” by boiled green beans and potatoes!).
don't waste too much time visiting most famous ligurian places, but "get lost" along secondary inland roads.

I was born in La Spezia and I grew up in Riviera where I used to make trekking and ski with my family, a good occasion to know Liguria. Working as a guide is what I love. I travelled a lot in Europe as Tour Manager but The Italian Riviera is my preferred place. Today I share my time between my husband’s shop in the historical center of Sestri Levante and my beloved activity of tourist guide. I finish my history saying that until I will have the possibility be a guide, I will remain young in body and mind!
I like very much nature and hiking. In my free time I like to listen music, to go to the theatre, to make sport: bike, sky, swimming, snorkeling. I also love art exhibitions and to help people that are not as lucky as me.
walking on the Cinque Terre vineyards path with full panorama on the sea in the morning and snorkeling in the afternoon; looking at the sunset on the beach in the evening, just before having a good dinner and dancing at night.
the Silent Bay in Sestri Levante.
trofie with pesto, Recco focaccia with cheese and tiramisù.

I’ve always loved hiking and nature, so I decided work as a nature guide. Then the exam to be tour guide came and was passed, I learnt about architecture, customs and small masterpieces scattered over the region. In my free time, I go around a lot with Spike, my Labrador of 4, and I’m sure that even he would like to be a tour guide after seeing so many places. I love to see the world and my region Liguria, revealing its secrets to my guests. Whenever I do this I feel richer inside.
Swimming, enjoy a kayak tour at the sunset, watch snowing, good historical novels and movies; dogs are my great passion, blonde girls (can we say that on this website ?), and 100 others at least.
Hike a mountain and before going home take a seat in a good trattoria enjoying wine and a salami and cheese course.
Can you imagine rocky mountains that stands above a large forest of 3 different colors trees? Now try to imagine: if you turn your eyes to north you can see the Alps, if you look at east you ‘ll see Tuscany and looking to south the sea and the Italian Riviera. This is the Aveto valley.
focaccette al formaggio (my grandmother was able to cook masterpieces of focaccette).
Stroll over the historical villages of the Italian Riviera. Turn into the narrowest alleys and, walk steps. It’s the best way to discover the hidden corners and the most unusual glimpses.

the smell of the sea, cats, yoga, fine arts and handwork, old shops and markets, good food, a glass of wine, the narrow streets of Genoa, architecture.
A stroll downhill through one of the typical creuse (pedestrian paths paved with bricks) of Genoa, meeting a couple of straw cats, until I reach the seaside. A slice of warm focaccia will make it perfect!
Nervi, a romantically beautiful seaside village, now part of the city area of Genoa. Nervi is very rich in unexpected wonders, the most beautiful sea-side promenade, carved in the cliffs, gorgeous parks, and four small beautiful museums.
farinata, ceci in zemino.
do not leave Genoa without having walked through the old city, its old shops, its wonderful Palazzi.

to start the day without knowing how it ends; I like to do much and to do nothing; I also like a funny joke and good food.
My perfect day is relaxing in a spa.
My favourite spot is my home... I live in an olive grove with grape terraces all around. From there I see the marble mountains of Carrara and the peaks of the Apennines; what do I want more.
fried vegetables alla Ligure and Dutch Apple Pie.

Buongiorno to everyone! I' m Roberta and I' m a tour guide of Genoa and east Liguria. I deeply love the place were I live and where I was born and I' m really excited to take other people to discover its treasures, but what I like even more is to meet people from many countries, know them and exchange experiences... it is like to bring the world to my home!
what I really enjoy to do is to ride my scooter along the Riviera.
a sunny day of the beginning of March. Here in Liguria is early spring and I like to lie down on the beach and enjoy the blue sea and the first warm sun!
the place I like most is the coastal road from Genoa to Portofino. In summer, I get up early and I ride my scooter along it. It is twenty miles of wonderful landscapes, mountains that fall straight in the sea and, in the light of the early morning it's really magic! It gives me a deep sense of freedom!!!
focaccia al formaggio. It is really great in its simplicity! It consists in a dough made of flower, olive oil and water, filled with a soft cheese that is called stracchino! You must taste it!
Something special to do in Genoa? Simply walking in the tangle of its narrow street and lose the way...

I am a Ligurian from the Riviera dei Fiori. I studied German language and literature at the university in Genoa, adding medieval and baroque art to my passions. Being a professional tourist guide since the early 90s, during my tours I try to reveal to my guests the deep heart of Liguria and “our different way to be Italians”.
reading and walking.
lying on the beach in late spring or early autumn and reading a novel by Michael Connelly, Ian Rankin or Cormac Mc Carthy.
the terraced land, dotted with olive trees, around the gothic sanctuary of San Nazario and Celso in the heart of the Maro valley.
stockfish "Ligurian style" with a glass of Rossese wine.
I suggest to go inland, look for old villages, follow narrow lanes, sit in a small café and drink a cup of coffee watching people go by.

Hi, my name is Sara, I was born and I live in Manarola, one of the five towns of Cinque Terre. I own a small B&B and I'm a hiking guide. My wish in my job is to stimulate the enjoiment of the area, that does not mean ownership and destruction of the resources, but an encounter between man and nature and between defferent cultures.
I love swimming and cooking. I like classic music and i have a real passion for Opera; my favourite composer is Giacomo Puccini.
I think that every day is a perfect day if you're in peace with yourself and the world around you, it doesn't matter what you do.
a hill between Manarola and Corniglia, I can see it from my house. When you're there you're hung between the sea and the sky.
pasta e fagioli (pasta with beans)!
don't forget swimsuit and hiking boots!

nature, Mediterranean Sea, old Romanesque Churches and... flowers.
Hiking in the morning, reach the seaside to swim and relax after lunch and visit one of the many villages that hosts a local " Sagra" to dance and taste local specialities in the evening.
Noli, a medieval little town that is situated directly in front of the sea.
"Pansotti con il sugo di noci", triangular shaped pasta cases, filled with herbs and ricotta. They are dressed with a walnut sauce and served as a first course.

travelling, reading and hiking; good wine in good company, movies and... the sun!
hiking on the Sea Alps with view over the Mediterranean in the morning, and enjoying the sun on the beach in the afternoon, even in the wintertime. In Liguria you can do both things in one day!

My passion for history and arts started soon, when I was a child, so I decided to study liberal arts at high school and Cultural Heritage at university, then in 2006 I became an authorized tourist guide: the icing on the cake!
wondering around the historical centre of Genoa helping tourists to discover palaces, churches and the typical narrow alleys called “caruggi”.
I like sport (especially zumba fitness, pilates, running and swimming), gardening, reading and cooking.
get up early, go running on the promenade and after that relax on the beach and at lunchtime have pasta with seafood in a restaurant in front of the sea.
San Fruttuoso di Camogli, a little amazing hamlet in front of the sea with a gothic abbey reachable only on foot, by a 2-hour walk from the villages of Portofino or Camogli, or by boat. History, art and nature together in a unique scenery.

Ever since I was a young boy at school in Imperia, I used to skip my dreaded subject of maths, to go to the local hills and discover the amazing beauty of this area. This is how I got to love and know Liguria so well. I Then went to England and stayed there for 30 years, but the charm of Liguria remained with me so much so, that I had to return.
Exploring and discovering the rustic beauty of the interior of this area. A lifetime is not enough, as the area is so rich in secret hidden valleys and culinary heritage, plus rural chapels and much much more..
I love to run from the olive groves of my village and reach the highest point in my area. From there, I can see all of the Tuscan Coast, the Cote d'Azur and Corsica, plus the Alps. What more can anyone desire?
So difficult in such a beautiful area, but Monte Toraggio definitely is in the top three: they call it the Small Matterhorn, it is a treasure trove of Biodiversity, so close to the sea. From here the views are exceptional!
I love the fresh and tender Fave (broad beans) which my mother does with pancetta cubes and topped with home produced olive oil: Che Bontà!
come and visit Liguria out of Season, the western part has an exceptional mild climate and the winter time offers magical light. To view the freshly produced olive oil in a local mill in November is also a must.
“I would like to thank you for helping us on our italian riviera experience. You made our visit so memorable”
Michael and Lisa
“Thanks so much for doing such a lovely job and thanks to all those involved making our vacation so great. We have decided to turn to Liguria as soon as possible!”
