More than a few months ago, I discovered the photography of Enrico Pelos. He is a Genovese photographer and author who created the book titled Passeggiate A Levante.

In it, he attempted to portray some of the most beautiful of the Eastern Liguria’s treks. He included a mix of the most famous ones, like Cinque Terre and Portofino, with Mount San Fruttuoso and the Lerici-Fiascherino-Tellaro Montemarcello routes. But more than that he included other, less-known, routes like the Jasper Cave Valley route.
He has also created a walking itinerary that explores the history of Genova via the sculptures in the Monumental Cemetery of Staglieno. One of the most beautiful cemeteries there are.

Enrico has a deep passion for Liguria and believes that it is possible to find some of the most beautiful scenery in the world there . Cinque Terre, the most well-known, is a UNESCO heritage area but he is also takes pleasure in seeking out those traditions and ways of life that are disappearing. It is his belief that photography is a way of keeping those important stories safe for the generations to come.
