Visit amazing vineyards and enjoy a wine tasting in an ancient country estate close to the Cinque Terre
Discover the amazing area between Liguria and Tuscany, at a short distance from the Cinque Terre. Between the high mountains where Carrara marble comes from and the marvellous Mediterranean sea, there’s the Lunigiana region, named after the ancient Roman town of Luni. This is an area of rolling hills dotted with ancient villages and great wines born thanks to the unique carachteristics of this land between sea, mountain and river.
Here you will begin a journey among vineyards, history and fregrances. Accompanied by a local wine producer, you will visit the vineyards, from those on the sea level, to those at the top of the hills from which you will enjoy a splendid panorama. You will understand how the wine changes according to the different heights and you will learn about the hard work behind the production on these small lands.
The tour will end with a visit to the ancient wine estate dating back to eighteenth century. It is more than a cellar, it is a place that combines history, culture, wine and food that will fascinate you! Here you will do a guided wine tasting, a sensory journey that will allow you to discover the main wine characters of the winery and its territory. Wines will be accompanied by a selection of breads and “Focacce” from the historical ovens of the area, km0 cheese and salami and by the tasting of Extra Virgin Olive Oil obtained from a very limited selection of local olives.
