A special cooking experience at home of chef Michele – Venice
Today, in the morning you’ll meet Michele, who has been a professional chef for more than 30 years and to say he is obsessed with food would be an understatement. With him, you’ll get to the food market (closed on Sunday and Monday) for a special tour where you’ll buy the ingredients for your cooking lesson.
In fact, right after the food market exploration, you’ll be welcomed in the apartment of Chef Michele, located in a prestigious Venetian palazzo from the 1500s, very close to St. Marks Square, and cook with him. You can choose to learn recipes for the famous Venetian cicchetti (kind of tapas), make fresh pasta, or a typical Venetial-style meal (3 courses).
After your cooking lesson, you’ll enjoy your lunch.
Afternoon at leisure. You can visit Palazzo Pesaro degli Orfei (a textile laboratory), the former residence of a very distinguished Venetian family that later became Mariano Fortuny’s atelier. This recently restored museum offers a unique opportunity to learn about the artworks and productions that made him famous worldwide as a fashion and interior designer.
