Away from the tourist crowds, Venissa is located on the islet of Mazzorbo, within a walled vineyard of medieval origins with a 14th-century bell tower, a fairy-tale setting in which we recommend you take a stroll before dining.
In addition to the Dorona, an indigenous vineyard, there are vegetable gardens that supply the restaurant with much of its vegetable needs. Among the delicacies, there is castraure, a local artichoke. The center of attention here is the cuisine, defined as ‘environmental’ because of its close ties with the lagoon and the upper Adriatic: lots of vegetables, lots of fish, and little meat.
You choose the number of courses and the dishes arrive by surprise, with various organic wines offered as accompaniments.
A private boat transfer will bring you back to Venice.
OPTION: Leaving the vegetable garden, cross a small wooden bridge and you will be on the adjacent island of Burano, which can complete your experience in the lagoon with the charm of its lace and polychrome houses.
