Day 1 – Welcome to Liguria!

Today is your arrival day. Benvenuto! Check-in at your boutique accommodation right in the center of Genoa old town. Relax after a long trip and start feeling the Italian atmosphere!

Ready for a full immersion in the traditional local cuisine? Well, you will enjoy a tasting dinner chez Roberto, aka the king of Pesto!

Day 2 – Your first time in Genoa

Check out from your accommodation in Genoa.

After breakfast, you’ll have a private walking tour of the historical center of Genoa discovering the most famous monuments of the town. Wandering through the “Carrugi” alleys is a unique experience and we believe that by just walking through this maze of historical streets, you’ll find the “real” Genoa essence. You’ll discover the largest medieval old town in Europe, walk along its narrow alleyways, stop in the squares and in the Renaissance streets of the historical town. You’ll walk in Via Garibaldi, a Unesco World Heritage Site which will leave you speechless with its painted palaces built by noble families in the XV century.

In 3 hours, following our insider track, you will discover the most authentic soul of this unique town! At lunch, you’ll be welcomed in a typical Genoese trattoria!

In the afternoon you’ll have time at disposal to explore more on your own. We’ll give you some suggestions, such as where to eat the best gelato or to enjoy the sunset on the Mediterranean sea.

Transfer to Santa Margherita Ligure (not included), close to Portofino, and overnight.

Day 3 – Camogli, San Fruttuoso and Portofino

After breakfast, your private guide will pick you up at the hotel to start an amazing tour of one of the best areas of the Italian Riviera, around the Portofino promontory. You will fall in love with the picturesque village of Camogli with its row of tall and colorful houses lined up along the beach and the small port. Here you will stop to taste the famous Focaccia in one of our preferred places. You’ll never forget that crispy and soft special bread!

From Camogli, you’ll start a panoramic trip by public boat* around the Portofino promontory with its lush vegetation and strange rocks plunging into the deep blue water. You will reach San Fruttuoso, a magical place with just a Medieval abbey built right on the pebble beach. Here you can even take a dip in the crystal clear water or grab a cone of fried fish, delicious!

Then take again the ferry to Portofino. Arriving in Portofino by boat will let you admire the best view of the village. Take a stroll in the famous piazzetta (small square), among luxury yachts and glittering boutiques and then you can reach the castle and the beautiful church of St. George, perched on the rocks. From Portofino, you will reach by boat the elegant coastal resort of Santa Margherita with its painted palaces and lovely harbor.

Day 4– Orientation Tour of the Cinque Terre and sunset wine experience

After breakfast, meet your expert private tour guide for a 3 hours orientation tour of the Cinque Terre villages. You will visit two of the villages and discover how to make the most of your time in the Cinque Terre. In addition to the main things not to be missed, you will discover much more. You will have tons of personal recommendations and in-the-know info. You will discover local secrets that only the people who actually live there know.

This tour will help you to figure out this crazy popular place and will definitely make a difference!

At sunset, you’ll be welcomed by a local winegrower to visit his amazing vineyards overlooking the sea! This experience means understanding the real soul of the Cinque Terre. He will tell you the story behind his heroic wine. After admiring a breathtaking panorama you will visit the ancient cellar and taste the most typical Cinque Terre wines with traditional appetizers.

Roundtrip transfer by train.
