Day 1 – Welcome to Piedmont UNESCO hills

Today is your arrival day. Benvenuto!

Check-in at your boutique hotel and prepare yourself for a tasting dinner that will immerse you in Piedmont flavors.

Day 2 – Discover the Barolo wine area

After breakfast meeting with the driver and your local tour guide and departure to discover the growing area of Barolo, one of the most highly-prized wines in the world, starting from Barolo, the town from which the King of Wines and Wine of Kings gets its name.
Guided visit to the WiMu – Wine Museum hosted in the stunning Castel of Barolo: a trip in the history of wine production, with scenography effects and interactive installations.

Short transfer to visit a well-known wine cellar with tasting. Pic-nic lunch surrounded by vineyards growing Barolo wine: a sample of the specialities of Langhe-style cuisine, to savour while seated comfortably.
Transfer to Alba, the capital of Langhe hills, for a stroll in the elegant town centre among boutiques, historical cafes and typical products: free time for shopping.

Dinner in a characteristic restaurant.

Day 3 – Piedmont tastes: cheese, hazelnuts and special cooking class

After breakfast, meeting with the driver, your local tour guide and departure to discover the area of Alta Langa, where the landscape becomes wilder thanks to woods and hazelnut groves.

Visit to a small farm producing hazelnuts: from the grove to the laboratory with final tasting.
The panoramic tour continues for a guided visit to a niche cheese producer with tasting lunch.
Time to relax and enjoy the pure air and the bucolic surroundings.

Back to the accommodation and time to relax.

In the late afternoon you will take an exciting cooking lesson on ‘the cuisine of the Langhe’, a “hands on” experience to learn how to prepare a complete traditional menu based on local recipes: the dishes prepared during the lesson will then be tasted afterwards at dinner, in the special atmosphere of candle-lit wine barrels.

Day 4– Transfer to Liguria and pesto lesson

After your breakfast buffet and check-out, transfer to the Italian Riviera with private driver (about 2 hours).

Check-in at your boutique accommodation in the charming atmosphere of Genoa historical center.

Your private local tour guide will welcome you and together you’ll reach a magnificent Renaissance palace where our Pesto expert will teach you how to make the famous green sauce with mortar and pestle, as the tradition wants. At the end of the lesson you will teste pasta with the delicious Pesto you will have prepared and other local specialties, accompanied by Ligurian wine.

Enjoy the afternoon to relax or discover more on your own.

Day 5– Be charmed by Genoa historical center and its food traditions

After breakfast, you’ll meet your private tour guide for a walking tour of the historical center of Genoa, discovering its monuments, narrow alleys and ancient food shops!

Wandering through the “Carrugi” alleys is a unique experience and we believe that by just walking through these maze of historical streets, you’ll find the “real” Genoa essence. You’ll discover the largest medieval old town in Europe, walk along its authentic medieval alleyways, stop in the squares and in the renaissance streets of the historical town.

During your tour you’ll discover the century old food shops of the historical center and you will taste some of the most typical local products!

For lunch you will discover one of the oldest “trattoria” in Genoa and taste local specialties such as the Farinata, cooked in the wood oven.

Day 6 – Cinque Terre villages and vineyards

After breakfast, meet your private guide and reach the Cinque Terre area.

To day you will take an authentic tour of the picturesque villages. Exploring the hamlets with an insider will make a difference since you will get in touch with the authentic soul of these lovely villages, we’ll navigate you away from crowds and tourist traps. You will discover secret corners and the best places to take amazing pictures.

To understand the real essence of Cinque Terre, your experience continues visiting the amazing vineyards overlooking the sea.

A local wine producer will welcome you in his vertical vineyards: you will hear about his story and discover the huge job there’s behind the heroic wine of Cinque Terre. After admiring the breathtaking panorama you will visit his ancient cellar and taste the most typical Cinque Terre wines among which the rare Sciacchetrà, paired with traditional appetizers.

Day 7 – Tastes of Portofino: Cooking Lesson!

Your private guide will pick you up at the hotel to start an amazing tour of the Portofino area.

Take a stroll among villas and gardens in the elegant coastal resort of Santa Margherita with its painted palaces and lovely harbor. From here, you will reach Portofino with a panoramic trip by public boat.

In one of the typical colorful houses of Portofino village you’ll be welcomed by a local chef to enjoy a cooking class. This is a great chance to immerse yourself in the Italian Riviera extraordinary flavors. You’ll learn how to make typical handmade pasta and discover the secrets of Ligurian cuisine! You’ll use many local ingredients grown in Portofino on the recovered lands brought back to life by a group of dynamic producers.

Before the lesson, it is possible to reach the panoramic terraced garden of the producer to collect fresh herbs, an essential ingredient of Ligurian recipes.

At the end of the cooking lesson you’ll have lunch, enjoying the fruits of your labors accompanied with local wine made in Portofino!

After you will take a digestive stroll in the village with its lovely piazzetta overlooking the sea, the glittering boutiques and VIP yachts.

Day 8- Arrivederci day!
