Val D’Orcia: Pienza, Monticchiello and Montepulciano

With your private driver and tour guide you’ll have the Val D’Orcia experience: driving along panoramic white roads overlooking the valleys, the rolling hills dotted with cypress trees and the medieval villages.

You’ll stop off in Pienza for a guided tour of the Renaissance town, visiting a family-owned biodynamic farmhouse and brewery where you will have a very special zero food mile product tasting of beer/oil/wine, overlooking the valley and the majestic Amiata mount. 

Then on to Monticchiello, the medieval hamlet, followed by Montepulciano, well known for its excellent Vino Nobile. Here you’ll have a walking tour of the town and visit a historical winery in town, with tasting, of course.

Today you will visit an organic Pecorino cheese maker near Pienza, enjoying a guided tour of the fascinating farm, learning everything you ever wanted to know about the famous 100% Tuscan Pecorino! This experience will be rounded off with a cheese-themed lunch with a stunning view over the Val D’Orcia Valley. After lunch, you will enjoy visiting a family-owned producer of Brunello di Montalcino wine, the most prestigious and best-known wine of Tuscany. First you will enjoy a guided tour of the cellar, getting all the fascinating insights and tasting the beautiful Brunello wines.



Hands on Tuscan cooking class and introduction to Siena

Your day will begin with a visit to a unique family-owned and charming Estate – a former monastery from the 16th century – just outside of Siena, an area that has been dedicated to the production of quality wines for centuries. You will enjoy a guided visit to this beautiful Estate, followed by a fun, interactive cooking class and lunch.
After lunch you will head to Siena, enjoying an orientation tour of this beautiful town, learning all about the famous Palio horse race and other unique traditions.



Towards Lucca through chianti’s rolling hills

Let’s head toward Lucca today, discovering the magnificent Chianti landscape, with its hills covered with olive trees and vineyards and its many picturesque villages. Your private guide will take you to the most beautiful corners and you will enjoy lunch in a very authentic winey where you will taste some of the best Tuscan homemade food as well as the great wines. 

Once in Lucca, you’ll fall in love with this magnificent town surrounded by walls and still with a Medieval heart, and our local and passionate private guide will accompany you on your exploration of this jewel of a town with an easy bike tour. Gently pedaling along the walls is very relaxing and will let you discover the ancient origins of the town, admiring it from a different perspective.

Relax and start feeling the atmosphere of the Italy’s “dolce vita”!

You’ll reach charming Portofino, where in the beating heart of the village, its famous ‘piazzetta’, you will enjoy an aperitivo made from locally sourced ingredients. Refreshing cocktails made with artisan liqueurs, distilled by small, family-run producers using the finest Ligurian ingredients: basil, Genoese roses, lemon verbena and chinotto.



Portofino exclusive hike and boat trip with lunch in San Fruttuoso

Today you will experience the unique natural setting of Portofino’s Natural Park both by land and sea. With your expert private guide, hike along the marvelous trail from Portofino to San Fruttuoso, in a setting which seems like a balcony between the sea and the sky. 

San Fruttuoso is a hidden bay that can only be reached on foot or by boat, with just a few fishermen’s houses and the magnificent medieval abbey on the beautiful pebble beach. Here you can swim, relax and taste the freshest fish in a fabulous restaurant with tables right on the rocks overlooking the water. 

In the afternoon, you will be picked up by a private boat – a traditional Ligurian wooden boat called a gozzo – with which you will sail along the suggestive coast back to the picturesque village of Portofino, one of the most beautiful of the whole Italian Riviera. You’ll be fascinated by the arches of the colourful houses, mirrored in the water of this Gulf well-known for its fish, and by the lovely “piazzetta” overlooking the water, known the world over for its luxury boutiques and trendy restaurants and cafes.



Cinque Terre with lunch among the vineyards

Explore the Cinque Terre villages today with your private guide. Spend the morning visiting Vernazza and Manarola, two of the most iconic villages. At lunchtime you will reach a gorgeous wine estate, nestled just above the village of Monterosso. It’s a true oasis of peace and tranquility surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and there you will enjoy a lunch with local specialties paired with the excellent Cinque Terre wines produced there. Take your time to relax on the lawn, sipping a Limoncino prepared with the very same lemons you will see around you. After lunch, take a stroll through the narrow streets of the village of Monterosso until you reach the bright promenade and the Capuchin convent, from which you will enjoy a magnificent view of the bay.



Genoa food tour and pesto class “a palazzo”, in a palace

A fascinating private walking tour through the medieval alleys, or carrugi, in Genoa’s historical centre, discovering the real essence of this ancient town. Your culinary expert guide will lead you to food shops that have been open for more than a century such as the old “friggitorie” or fryers who serve friscieu (fried croquettes filled with herbs), farinata and fried fresh seafood, to be eaten at the counter or taken away. You will visit the prestigious pastry cafè where famous composer Giuseppe Verdi liked to spend his time tasting the wares and then the unique “Pietro Romanengo fu Stefano”, a 200-year-old sweetshop. During your visit, you’ll taste typical street food and of course famous Genoese focaccia. Our local culinary experts will then welcome you to a private aristocratic palace you will have your pesto sauce lesson, preparing it just as the tradition requires, with mortar and pestle. After the pesto class, you will have lunch with typical Ligurian dishes.
